The journey begins

Greetings and welcome. This is a blog devoted to the things I create. Primarily a journal chronicling my creations for use in medieval recreation specifically for the SCA inc. My interest was primarily in the late 14th century people and culture of Scotland, however as time went by that interest both broadened in scope to much of Europe, and narrowed in vision to focus mainly on woodworking.

I was introduced to the SCA in 1995 while living in Phoenix, AZ. As it turns out I was living in The Kingdom of Atenveldt. My first event was The Estrella War, one of the biggest events in the south western United States. There was fighting, costumes, merchants, and parties. I was hooked from the start.

As is often the case one thing led to another and away I went. From clothing, to carpentry, to armor, to brewing. Fighting, service, and the spectacle of it all, there is always something new and interesting to draw your attention.
